Evocation x Design
Inspired by Jenny Holzer: Light Line, on view at the Guggenheim Museum, NYCxDESIGN and the One Club have partnered to present Evocation x Design, featuring opening remarks by Lauren Hinkson, Associate Curator, Collections, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum; and two individual Keynote presentations by Pum Lefebure, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Design Army, and Nicholas Law, Chair, Accenture Song.
Design for Impact and Action. How will you use your creative abilities to foster impact and change? It’s a question worth pondering as we navigate through our interconnected society.
Join Pum Lefebure as she explores designers’ profound power to unite, communicate, and inspire action. Discover how every creative endeavor, from small projects to large campaigns, has the potential to leave a lasting impact on your community.
Embark on a journey with Pum as she shares her own experiences showcasing how creative initiatives can rally support for local arts programs, challenge cultural norms, and pave the way for positive change no matter where you are.
Deep Simplicity presented by Nicholas Law Over the past 20 years, the average person has faced a growing complexity tax; their daily interactions with the world have grown more confusing.
While the internet has created infinite opportunities, it has also created chaos as people attempt to understand complex systems hiding behind opaque interfaces. What started as a promise of giving people more control has turned into a self-service environment that is baffling, time consuming, and particularly burdensome for disadvantaged communities.
How can design translate the potential of these systems into healthy human interactions. To help people understand and benefit from technology. To create possibility with simplicity. Presenters: Pum Lefebure, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Design Army Nicholas Law, Chair, Accenture Song
