City Hall

City Hall Park
212-788-6879
The oldest U.S. city hall still used for its original function, New York's City Hall is both an architectural marvel and the seat of New York City government. Built between 1803 and 1812, tours of this landmark structure go into detail on the mayors who have worked here and the design of the building itself.

Open Monday through Saturday from 9am-5pm. City Hall offers free tours to the public on Wednesdays at noon (some Wednesdays have a 10am start time, check website before arrival). Thursday 10am tours require signing up in advance. If you are traveling with a group, those tours take place on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:30am. The minimum age to go on a tour is 9 years old.
