The Hong Kong Dance Company brings to the stage an inspiring re-telling of the household folktale of love, peace and virtue in this striking dance drama presentation. Mulan, the legendary figure from ancient China, was a peasant girl who disguised herself as a man to join the army in place of her aged father. She fought for a decade, gained respect, and gave up a position at court to retire to her hometown. Traditional Chinese virtues are examplified through the unusual adventures and touching story of a heroine with moral courage and intelligence. Thurs.-Sat., 8pm; Sun., 1pm.
