The New York Comedy Festival Brings the Funny


Judd Apatow, co-director/writer of TV gem Freaks and Geeks, films Bridesmaids and most recently Trainwreck, is just one of the comedy personalities set to appear in this year’s New York Comedy Festival, scheduled for Nov. 10-15. Judd Apatow and Friends will appear at Carnegie Hall Nov. 14.

Now in its 12th year, the New York Comedy Festival features a star spangled lineup of comedians, including Margaret Cho, Sarah Silverman, Billy Crystal, Trevor Noah (Daily Show), Patton Oswalt, John Leguizamo, Iliza Shlesinger, Bill Maher, SNL alum Norm Macdonald and many others, with more talent forthcoming. The shows will take place at venues around the city, including 92nd Street Y, Carnegie Hall, Beacon Theatre, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), Madison Square Garden, The Theater at MSG and Town Hall.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Aug. 17 at 10am. There will also be a pre-sale for Citi cardholders on Aug. 16 at 10am. For more information, visit nycomedyfestival.com.
