CG: BROADWAY SINGS FOR PKD Benefit Plays the Duplex, 8/20

Broadway Sings for PKD, a concert benefiting the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, will be offered August 20th at The Duplex in Manhattan. The evening will feature musical theatre classics and 1950s bubblegum pop.

Directed by Christopher Cartmill and musical directed by Adam Spiegel, the 7 PM concert will include performances from Jessie Austrian (The Importance of Being Earnest, Fiasco Theater’s Cymbeline), D'vorah Bailey (Candide), Jennifer Blood (Falling for Eve), Melanie Burg, Ali Ewolt (Les Miserables, West Side Story), Kaitlin Kiyan (Hair), Nora Menken, Heather Parcells (A Chorus Line, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Robb Sapp (Shrek, Wicked), Ben Simpson, and Howie Michael Smith (Avenue Q). The evening will include a raffle with signed Playbills.

All proceeds from the evening will go to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, which “promotes programs of research, advocacy, education, support and awareness in order to discover treatments and a cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease and improve the lives of all it affects.” Broadway Sings for PKD is produced by Rachel Kunstadt.
