The new Off-Broadway comedy hit Dinner with the Boys is offering a unique experience. Theatre goers can wine and dine with the boys after the show every Tuesday night. This one-of-a-kind opportunity is a Soprano-lovers feast! In partnership with Tony Di Napoli’s Time Square Restaurant (147 W 43 St.), the show now features DINNER TUESDAYS WITH THE BOYS, offering patrons a package deal for the performance and an overabundant family style meal afterwards with the cast. Not only is the show a part of the deal and more than enough food to go around, but it also includes a glass of vino, tax, and tip. Patrons can ask the boys all the questions they can come up with and selfies are highly encouraged.

Additionally, Wednesday matinee performances celebrate NONNA DAY, a promotion that offers patrons a discounted ticket price and a complimentary jar of the popular JERSEY ITALIAN GRAVY (aka marinara sauce for those of us who are not Italian!)

Individuals who attend this hit show – written by and starring Dan Lauria (The Wonder Years; Lombardi on Broadway) – shouldn’t be surprised if they leave the Acorn Theatre on Theatre Row (410 W 42 St.) feeling as though they’ve enjoyed a theatrical feast, but still have a nagging hunger for some great Italian cooking: food is the 4th character in this three-character play starring Lauria, Ray Abruzzo (The Sopranos) and Richard Zavaglia (Donnie Brasco).

Little Meatballs, Puttanesca, and Cervello are just some of the delicious Italian dishes described in Dinner with the Boys; Zavaglia even cooks a mouth-watering dinner while onstage.

In this comedy about two wise guys who are at odds with the ‘family’ and save their own skins by serving up perfectly seasoned Italian dishes, Dom (Zavaglia) is the master chef who prides himself on the homemade dishes he prepares for Charlie (Lauria). Set in the ‘wilds of New Jersey,’ the comedy is spiced with an element of suspense when Big Anthony Jr. (Abruzzo) – whose ‘table manners’ leave something to be desired – shows up unexpectedly, leading the boys to wonder if their next meal will be their last supper.

After his visit to Dinner with the Boys, one of our most beloved Italians, Danny Aiello said, “Dan Lauria is great and so is Dinner with the Boys,” and Peter Scolari (Lombardi; Bob Newhart Show) said, “You should treat yourself to Dinner with the Boys. You deserve it – I laughed so hard I almost passed out.”
