Empire City Casino Wins Major Awards

Empire City Casino, located in Westchester County, has walked away with four top honors in the nationwide contest for “Best Dining & Nightlife Awards” by Casino Player Magazine (March 2015 issue).  The recognition once again demonstrates Empire City’s status as a leading destination for gaming and entertainment. With players winning jackpots galore, a modest $5 investment could be your luckiest.

Empire City's "must-stop" for Italian cuisine, Nonno’s Trattoria, was the big winner, taking home two separate honors. For the second year in a row, the restaurant was awarded “Best Italian,” thanks to the culinary work of Executive Chef Gaurav Navin. Nonno’s was also selected for the “Best Happy Hour” award.

Also for the second year in a row, Dan Rooney’s Sports Pub took home the “Best Place for Cocktails” award under the supervision of general manager Melissa Corke. The cocktails are paired perfectly with the culinary creations of Chef Matt Heisel. Dan Rooney’s, added to Empire City Casino in 2013, caters to the sports enthusiast offering over 40 HDTVs with a broad menu of high-quality pub favorites made from scratch.

Finally, Empire Terrace Restaurant was selected for the “Best View” award, thanks to the spectacular panorama overlooking the historic Yonkers Raceway and its century-old half-mile harness track. “We are delighted to be selected ‘the Best’ in four categories by Casino Player Magazine,” said Tim Rooney, Jr., Empire City Casino general counsel. “We are proud recipients and credit our tremendous team here at Empire City which continues to ensure our players receive the ultimate gaming experience.”
