The third annual Rolex Central Park Horse Show makes a triumphant return to New York City from Wednesday, September 21 through Sunday, September 25th, and this year it features Friesian stallion Frederik The Great, also known as the "World’s Most Handsome Horse."

Born in the Netherlands, where the Friesian breed first originated, Frederik is a 15-year-old award-winning dressage horse. (He's even got his own YouTube channel, good for over 14 million views). Based in the Ozarks, Frederik is known for one of the thickest and longest manes of any Friesian stallion. He's been approached to star in major feature films and will  appear in a ten-part mini-series titled, “Frederik The Great Behind the Beauty,” which will be released in spring 2017. Frederik The Great joins the program on Friday and Saturday nights, September 23 and 24.

The Rolex Central Park Horse Show is the city's first-ever outdoor multi-day equestrian sporting event, which brings together some of the world's best show jumpers and dressage riders as they compete beneath NYC's skyscrapers. Wollman Rink in Central Park plays host to daily exhibitions of varied breeds and disciplines. The events culminate with a Family Day on Sunday the 25th that features demonstrations, face painting, and pony rides.

Wednesday, September 21

U.S. Open Arabian Horse Show. Gate opens at 6pm. Show begins at 6:30pm. $50 per ticket.

Thursday, September 22

U.S. Open $25,000 Under 25 Grand Prix 6:30pm, followed by the exciting U.S. Open $40,000 FEI Speed Class at 8:00pm, concluding with Puissance at 9pm. Ticket includes all 3 events. Gate opens at 6pm. Show begins at 6:30pm. $125 per ticket.

Friday, September 23

U.S. Open CDI Dressage Grand Prix. Gate opens at 1pm. Show begins at 1:30pm. $50 per ticket.

Jr. Amateur 1.20m Class at 6:30pm, followed by the thrilling U.S. Open $216,000 Grand Prix CSI 3*, presented by Rolex. Ticket includes both events. Gate opens at 6pm. Show begins at 6:30pm. $125 per ticket.

Saturday, September 24

U.S. Open $50,000 Hunters Duchossois Cup followed by $1,000 Sm/Med Pony Hunter Class and the $2,500 Jr./Amateur and Professional Classes. Gate opens at 1pm. Show begins at 1:30pm. $50 per ticket.

U.S. Open $75,000 CDI Dressage Freestyle. Gate opens at 6pm. Show begins at 6:30pm. $125 per ticket.

Sunday, September 25

Family Day—Free General Admission. Pony rides, face painting, an Arabian Horse presentation, equestrian demonstrations, and more! Gate opens 12pm-3pm.
