Lotus Plaza performs tonight, July 19, 2012 (Doors 8:00 PM / Show 9:00 PM) at Knitting Factory Brooklyn, 361 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211.

Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Lockett Pundt (of Deerhunter fame) will be swinging by the Knitting Factory for a night of reverb-heavy, hazy guitar loops. Known for contributing the hallucinatory, shoegaze effects in Deerhunter, Pundt allows himself to fully explore this sound in his solo work. His ambitious new release from April 2012, Spooky Action at a Distance, received many positive reviews, including a “Best New Music” nod from Pitchfork Media’s Ian Cohen. Garnering a lot of press and hype for both his new release and live performances, Lotus Plaza is not to be missed. As Consequence of Sound stated in their review of the new album, “Pundt’s exquisite entanglements of vivid pop, lucid electronics, and straight-up rock and roll demand to be heard.”
