For over 150 years, Macy's has been making wishes come true during the holiday season and the tradition continues this year as Macy's Herald Square prepares to unveil its legendary Christmas windows on Thursday, November 17th at 5pm.
Appropriately titled "Make-A-Wish," this year's windows tell the tale of the magical transformation of holiday wishes and dreams into festive holiday ornaments. These ornaments are part of the brand-new Celebrity Ornament Collection, an assortment of 14 exclusive designs inspired by the unique style of Macy's celebrity designers. These holiday treasures are also available for $9.99 with 10 percent of the purchase price benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, further symbolizing the dedication of Macy's and Make-A-Wish to helping children with life-threatening diseases make their wishes and dreams come true all year long.
The unveiling celebration in Broadway Plaza will include a special appearance by Oscar-winning actor Whoopi Goldberg, with the cast of the Broadway hit Sister Act, adding to the evening’s magic. The one-and-only Santa Claus will also be on-hand to lead the countdown to the moment when the windows are officially unveiled to the public for the first time.
Delectable holiday treats, courtesy of WhiteWave Foods, will further enhance the experience. From 9am to 10pm, Silk, Horizon Organic, International Delight, and LAND O LAKES products will be serving up holiday cheer, warmth and delight in Broadway Plaza by offering samples of favorite seasonal products, accompanied by Folger's coffee and sweet treats from Cinnabon.
