NYC's Largest Rooftop Bar Opens at Moxy Times Square

Highlights of the sprawling 10,000-square-foot rooftop bar and lounge include an "urban amusement park" concept with an adult sensibility and epic Empire State Building skyline views, plus a DJ, carousel seating, an oversized topiary garden, and Foreplay, a miniature putt-putt, featuring lively looking animals engaging in naughty poses. There are multiple bar and seating areas, each with a distinct vibe and design.

On the menu, patrons can enjoy light bites in the gourmet "state fair" vein, including sausage & peppers, Maine lobster rolls, duck carnitas tacos, and the house Carnival Burger. To sweeten the spot for more serious party revelers, patrons may want to reserve one of Moxy's "Crashpads"a 120-square-foot room equipped with a twin bed and a flat screen televisionfor only $99.

The bar is one of three new concepts within Moxy Times Square unveiled by the Tao Group (partners Marc Packer, Rich Wolf, Noah Tepperberg, and Jason Strauss). There will also be LEGASEA, a seafood brasserie, and Egghead, an all-day breakfast sandwich shop.

This is the first Moxy Hotel in New York City; it's also the largest by the brand, with more scheduled to open in Japan, Seattle, Denver, and London later this year.
