Circle Line Sightseeing Hosts Fourth Annual 'Naked' Polar Bear Cruise on Saturday, February 25

For the fourth year, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises will host its annual “NAKED” POLAR BEAR CRUISE. Taking place on Saturday, February 25th, 2012, the cruise will benefit the Wildlife Conservation Society, which oversees the Bronx Zoo and New York Aquarium. Along with the Coney Island Polar Bear Club, passengers are encouraged to strip down (bathing suits required) and enjoy a winter rise to the Statue of Liberty. Giveaways will be rewarded to the man and woman who withstand the cold the longest. Four Total Experience tickets to WCS's Bronx Zoo and four Total Experience tickets to WCS's New York Aquarium, along with soft shells from Weatherproof, will be rewarded.

All "naked" participants are asked to seek individual sponsorships to raise money for the Wildlife Conservation Society. The sponsorship forms award participants for each minute they can withstand the cold temperatures and chilly breeze. When the cold gets to be too much, participants may buncle up inside the vessel and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate.

Spectators for the "naked" cruise can purchase tickets for $20 at WWW.CIRCLELINE42.COM. Participants may ride for free. 10:30am boarding, 11am-noon sail from Pier 83.
