Nasty-Canasta-to-Headline-Gotham-Burlesque-20010101

Nasty Canasta will headline the July edition of GOTHAM BURLESQUE, taking place on Saturday, August 6th at 9:30PM at the Triad Theater. GOTHAM BURLESQUE is hosted by WORLD FAMOUS *BOB*.

Presented by award-winning filmmaker, artist, and producer Gary Beeber, GOTHAM BURLESQUE is an exciting evening of song, dance, tricks and visual treats that plays the first Saturday of each month with a different cast at the intimate Upper West Side venue, offering audiences a taste of a wide range of live entertainments from both established and up and coming performers and acts.

Joining Nasty Canasta and emcee World Famous *BOB* for the August 6th show will be Darlinda Just Darlinda, Minnie Tonka, Tansy Tan Dora, BooBess, Cherry La Voix, and stage kitten Dangrrr Doll.

Gary Beeber is an award-winning American filmmaker whose documentaries Dirty Martini and the New Burlesque, Bally-Master, and Messenger have screened in over 50 festivals and won countless awards at the FirstGlance Film Festival, the DC Independent Film Festival, the Staten Island Film Festival, and the Coney Island Film Festival. Prior to devoting his energies to documentaries, he was a photographer and producer of art videos which were shown in 70 galleries and exhibitions worldwide, and several of his works are in corporate collections here in the city at Goldman Sachs, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, and Chase.

GOTHAM BURLESQUE will play the first Saturday of every month at 9:30PM at the Triad Theater (158 West 72nd Street), with August's performance taking place on Saturday, August 6th. Tickets are $40 for premium seating, $30 for general seating, and $25 for balcony seating and can be purchased online at www.BrownPaperTickets.com.
