Get a Front Row View of NYC's Rich Cityscape on THE TOUR

To learn more about the rich history and architecture of New York City (whether you’re from out of town or a local!) from the vantage of a comfortable upfront window view of all the city action, you need to take THE TOUR. This 90-minute immersive ride cruises through midtown and the Upper West Side in THE RIDE's million-dollar state-of-the art custom motor coach.

The Tour

With panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, stadium-style seating (meaning riders face the action on the street, no straining your neck to turn to see what’s going on), 3,000 LED lights, multiple plasma TV screens, and surround sound, the vehicle is a long way from your grandfather's double-decker bus. The tour has a personality all its own and offers a variety of NYC musical clips that will make your ride even more enjoyable.

Scenic, engaging, funny, and extremely informative, THE TOUR boards in the heart of the Theater District, then heads to the Upper West Side, later coming back down along shopping mecca Fifth Avenue. You’ll learn about the origins of the term Hell’s Kitchen, delight in the city’s unique architecture such as the Hearst Building (the first building completed post 9/11 and made from 85% recycled materials), as well as popular residences such as the grand apartment building the Ansonia, erected in 1904 with a farm and livestock on the roof. You'll also see The Dakota, where John Lennon lived, just across from Central Park’s Strawberry Fields, and learn about some great New York deals, such as Lincoln Center’s Student Discount tickets, where same-day tickets to great shows are only $25 weekdays and $35 weekends.

THE TOUR runs seven days a week, boarding on the corner of 45th Street and Broadway and dropping off at 46th Street & Broadway. Bilingual tours are available in Spanish and Japanese. Tickets are $45 for adults, $35 for children ages 2-12. Children under 2 can ride for free.

In addition, THE TOUR offers a wide variety of discount combos; for example, you can purchase a TOUR ticket plus a Hard Rock Cafe entree combo (includes entree, drink, and dessert) for $55. Additional discounts are available for senior citizens, AAA members, and NYC residents. For tickets, visit thetourNYC.com.
