Steely Dan - Beacon Theatre
Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Walter Becker and Donald Fagen bring their 2009 U.S. Tour to the Beacon Theatre for four nights of special setlist engagements. The first three performances will be "Classic Album (Plus)" Nights where three landmark albums will be performed in their entirety along with selected additional favorites each night. July 28 - Aja; July 29 - Gaucho; July 31 - The Royal Scam. The fourth night is an Internet Request Night where the setlist will be determined by internet votes from ticket-holders for the show. August 1 - "Takin' It to the Seats"

Mostly Mozart Festival - Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts
The 43rd season of the Mostly Mozart Festival includes concerts, pre-concert recitals, late-night performances, films, and lectures. Renee and Robert Belfer Music Director Louis Langree will conduct ten concerts with the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, and the music of Mozart will be featured in 17 programs this summer, along with 14 by his beloved contemporary, Haydn, whose death 200 years ago will be highlighted during the Festival. The four-week Mostly Mozart Festival will also offer five premieres by composers John Adams and Alberto Grau; choreographer Mark Morris, and film-maker Bruno Monsaingeon. The Festival will feature debuts by nine artists—conductor Robin Ticciati makes his highly-anticipated US debut; pianist Claire-Marie Le Guay and conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin make their NY debuts; pianist Yevgeny Sudbin makes his NY orchestral debut; and pianists Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Nicholas Angelich and Stefan Vladar, mezzo-soprano Karen Cargill, and acclaimed clarinetist Michael Collins make their Mostly Mozart debuts. The Festival will unfold at five venues on the Lincoln Center campus, including a return to the newly transformed and highly acclaimed Alice Tully Hall. The Collage Aesthetic of Louis Armstrong: 'In the Cause of Happiness' - Jazz at Lincoln Center
This exhibition features large-scale images of collages created by Armstrong from clips of photographs, news stories, postcards, letters, telegrams and other materials that Armstrong artfully affixed to the boxes of his vast private collection of audio tapes. Reconfiguring the Body in American Art, 1820–2009 - National Academy of Design Museum and School of Fine Arts
An exhibition that examines the critical role the human figure has played in the Nation's art for the past 189 years. Transcending chronological, stylistic, and generational boundaries the exhibition will present 160 works drawn from the National Academy's important and wide ranging collection of American art, as well as an intriguing selection of works by contemporary artists who are carrying on the figurative tradition in new and adventurous ways.
