If you're looking for ways to enjoy New York's beautiful summer weather, we've got some great suggestions for things you can do outdoors?from New York parks and outdoor cafes to flea markets, sporting events, and street fairs. NYC Audubon Summer EcoCruise-Brother Islands - New York Water Taxi
July 14, 2013 - New York

See some of the 3,000 gorgeous herons that fly from the South to nest on small islands in New York Harbor. Hosted by Audubon naturalists, this 90-minute cruise will take you "up close and personal" to see these majestic birds. Cruise under famous city bridges and past renowned monuments, take in views of the city's skyline and get to know some of its lesser-known aviary residents. You'll learn about the ecology of the harbor and understand why the harbor islands have become home to thousands of birds in the last few decades. Our fleet of vessels are community-conscious with low-emission engines, low-wake hulls and hospital-grade mufflers that honor our New York waterways.

It illustrates how growth is disrupted by invasive species. The exhibit is on display at the Visitor & Administration Building Gallery from April 22 through July 22.
