Cavalia - White Big Top at the Meadowlands (East Rutherford, New Jersey - next to the IZOD Center)

Due to popular demand and rave reviews, Cavalia is beginning to pick up speed. The incredible equestrian odyssey has extended its run at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ, adding an extra week of shows. The show, which opened at the Meadowlands on June 9th, will keep its tents up and be performing through June 27, 2010. The majestic, acrobatic, and enigmatic Cavalia has been touring for six years with no signs of slowing.

Wonders of Wildlife - Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo
June 30, 2010 -

Come on over and meet some the world's most fascinating animals! Explore exotic places like deserts, rain forests, wetlands and even Connecticut's backyard forests while learning about the amazing adaptations that allow animals to call those places home. Presented at the Zoo's Learning Circle, this event is FREE with Zoo admission.

The 3rd of July is the day you can test your X-Ray goggles, take your jet engine boots for a test drive and rescue your crush from the hands of an evil villain, take along a tin of spinach and bust out some break-dance moves and make this a party of Superhuman proportions!

The Edible Garden - New York Botanical Garden
Through October 17, 2010 -

An exhibition celebrating and preparing great food. Set across the 250-acre NYBG, The Edible Garden features vegetable gardens and displays, demonstrations from food and gardening experts, celebrity appearances by Daisy Martinez, Dan Barber, Sara Moulton, and others during four festival weekends, and programs that demonstrate the bounty, economy, and nutritional value of edible plants. Penguins - Maritime Aquarium

Come fall in love with the new colony of African penguins in a new outdoor exhibit, offering views above and below the water.
