Harvest Hay Rides - Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo

Explore the Zoo with your friends and family atop a tractor drawn wagon -- a seasonal adventure that is not to be missed! Hayrides will run on weekends and school vacation days (Columbus Day and Veteran’s Day) starting October 2nd through the end of November. Rides will start at the W.O.L.F. cabin and will run from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Tickets are $2.00 and can be purchased in the gift shop.
3rd Annual Scarecrow Competition - Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo

Art classes, scout troops, corporations, community organizations, families, and individuals are invited to create their own scarecrow! We'll provide the frame - you make it as wild and wacky as you like! Scarecrows must be dropped off by October 23 and will be judged at the "Boo at the Zoo" event on October 31.
