Learn how ravens compare with raptors and see them up-close. Seating is limited.

Extreme Mammals: The Biggest, Smallest, and Most Amazing Mammals of All Time - American Museum of Natural History
Through January 03, 2010 -

This major new exhibition explores the surprising and sometimes bizarre world of extinct and living mammals. Featuring fossils from the Museum's collections, the exhibition examines the ancestry and evolution of numerous species, ranging from huge to tiny and speedy to sloth-like, and showcases animals with oversized claws, fangs, snouts, and horns. Open daily. $15.

The Butterfly Conservatory: Tropical Butterflies Alive in Winter - American Museum of Natural History
Through May 31, 2010 -

Celebrating its twelfth year at the Museum, this highly popular winter attraction transforms the iciest day into a magical summer escape, inviting visitors to mingle with up to 500 fluttering, iridescent butterflies among blooming tropical flowers and lush green vegetation in 80-degree temperatures.

Penguins - Maritime Aquarium
Through December 31, 2010 - Norwalk

Come fall in love with the new colony of African penguins in a new outdoor exhibit, offering views above and below the water.
