Midtown Comics in New York City proudly presents legendary comics creator Todd McFarlane signing his new book The Art of Todd McFarlane: The Devil’s in the Details at Midtown Comics Downtown on Thursday, December 6th from 6 to 8pm. Purchase of The Art of Todd McFarlane: The Devil’s in the Details from any Midtown Comics location is required to receive a ticket to the signing event and one additional item may be signed.

The Art of Todd McFarlane: The Devil’s in the Details: A visual biography celebrating almost 30 years of artwork from one of the comic industry’s most popular and iconic artist personalities, The Art of Todd McFarlane: The Devil’s in the Details, is not just another art book. It follows McFarlane’s journey from a young comic book fan mimicking his favorite artists, to his subsequent rise to comic book stardom. McFarlane, himself, provides hundreds of anecdotes throughout the 400-page book, walking the fans through his groundbreaking career.

Todd McFarlane started working in comics in 1984 where he drew for some of  Marvel Comics' greatest titles such as The Incredible Hulk and Spider-Man. After working his way to the top of the talent roster at Marvel, Todd left in 1992 to help found Image Comics with six other artists. It was then that Todd introduced his own character, Spawn. In 1994, Todd founded McFarlane Toys, because he wanted to maintain maximum creative control over his Spawn character. Over the years, the company has become one of the largest, most renowned toy manufacturers in the world.
