It’s getting to be the cranberry time of year. Rockefeller Center is celebrating by transforming a patch of prime Manhattan real estate into a cranberry bog. Measuring 1,500 square feet and holding a full ton of fresh, floating berries, the bog will be on display Wednesday and Thursday, November 1st and 2nd, 2017, from 9am to 4pm.

Inside the bog, Ocean Spray growers will share secrets of the harvest, from how the bogs are flooded and picked to why cranberries float. You can also learn about the health benefits of cranberries (they’re a super-fruit, loaded with fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants). The growers represent third-, fourth- and sixth-generation members of the Ocean Spray cooperative, which has been in business since 1930.
