The Theatre Development Fund has reopened the South Street Seaport TKTS Discount Booth at a temporary location at the corner of Fulton and South Streets while its permanent home in the Seaport Marketplace at the corner of Front and John Streets is being renovated. This temporary location, in a pop-up retail container, is part of the Seaport's SEE/CHANGE Program which is offering retail, dining and cultural offerings in an effort to help revitalize the local community. TKTS Seaport has been closed since it was destroyed by the Hurricane Sandy last October.
"We're thrilled to again serve theatregoers living and working in Downtown Manhattan," said TDF's Managing Director Michael Naumann. "We felt that we owed it to the community to be back for them this summer. The rebuilding of our permanent location was taking longer than we had hoped - so this temporary booth, just steps away at Fulton and South Streets, was the perfect solution."
TKTS Downtown Manhattan offers same-day tickets for evening performances and next- day tickets for matinee performances of Broadway and Off Broadway shows at up to 50% off full price. Operating hours for TKTS Seaport @ Fulton and South Streets are: Monday - Saturday from 11am to 6pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
You can see in advance what shows are up for sale at TKTS by downloading the free TKTS app at: www.tdf.org/tktsapp or you can see it online at www.tdf.org/tktslive.
