Kid-Care is proud to present its fourth annual Toy Drive on December 5th, 2012. Due to the devastation Hurricane Sandy has caused thousands of children in the Tri-State area, Kid-Care will be making this year’s toy drive a special event. Not only will we provide children with gifts for the holiday season, but will also help their parents provide them with the bare essentials that they are now desperately in need of. With your generosity from prior years we have already started dropping off baby formula, diapers, blankets and other supplies as of yesterday afternoon to The Church of Nazarene located at 1414 Central Avenue in Far Rockaway.
With the dire conditions people are still experiencing Kid-Care is asking for your help in the support of an ongoing relief effort that thousands of people are desperately in need of. This is not money that will get used later or be held up by bureaucracy. THIS IS MONEY THAT WILL BE USED NOW!! By donating to Kid-Care, every dollar will go directly to people who don’t have water, heat or food, and the founders of Kid-Care have and will continue to drive out supplies to people in need of your donations.
As many of you already know, Kid-Care is a 501-c3 not-for profit corporation (Federal Tax ID # 38-3803476) that strives to Let Kids be Kids. Last year's Toy Drive was extremely successful with over 300 people in attendance, over 1,500 toys donated and nearly $15,000 raised. With the support of our partner Homes for the Homeless, we have sponsored multiple tee ball teams for homeless children, after school arts and music programs, and have also hosted three "Job Hops".
