Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson - This mix of historical fact and invention uses the story of America’s seventh president -- the man who invented the Democratic Party, doubled the size of our nation and signed the Indian Removal Acts that started the Trail of Tears -- to investigate the attraction and terrors of American populism, using a blend of comedy, theatricality and emo rock.

La Bete - David Hirson’s rollicking 1991 play is a comic tour de force about Elomire (David Hyde Pierce), a high-minded classical dramatist who loves only the theatre, and Valere (Mark Rylance), a low-brow street clown who loves only himself. When the fickle princess (Joanna Lumley) decides she’s grown weary of Elomire’s royal theatre troupe, he and Valere are left fighting for survival as art squares off with ego in a literary showdown for the ages.

A Life in the Theatre - Patrick Stewart and T.R. Knight star in the Broadway premiere of David Mamet’s 1977 comedy. Describing life in the footlights from an actor’s point of view, the show focuses on the relationship between two thespians: Robert, an older, experienced performer; and John, a relative newcomer. Though Robert’s guidance is welcomed by John at first, as the play progresses Robert falters as an actor and mentor, and John emerges as a mature actor.

Lombardi - A new play by Oscar winner and Steppenwolf Theater Company member Eric Simonson -- based on the best-selling biography by Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Maraniss -- that brings the audience into the life and times of one of America’s most inspirational and mercurial personalities, Hall of Fame football coach Vince Lombardi. Starring Dan Lauria and Judith Light.

Time Stands Still - Donald Margulies’ acclaimed play from last season is back on Broadway with starsLaura Linney and Brian d’Arcy James reprising their roles as a couple with a shared passion for documenting the realities of war – she as a photographer; he as a journalist. Back home in NYC, as Linney’s character recuperates from serious physical injuries, the two confront the prospect of a more conventional life. Also starring Eric Bogosian and Christina Ricci.

Driving Miss Daisy - Alfred Uhry's classic play is a timeless, searing, funny, and ultimately hopeful meditation on race relations in America, told through the complex relationship between two of popular culture's most enduring characters. When Daisy Werthan (Vanessa Redgrave), a widowed, 72-year-old Jewish woman living in midcentury Atlanta, is deemed too old to drive, her son hires Hoke Colburn (James Earl Jones), an African American man, to serve as her chauffeur. What begins as a troubled and hostile pairing, soon blossoms into a profound, life-altering friendship that transcends all the societal boundaries placed between them. The Scottboro Boys - The Scottsboro Boys explores the infamous "Scottsboro" case of the 1930's when a group of African American teenagers were unjustly accused of attacking two white women -- and the boys' attempts to prove their innocence. Kander and Ebb's The Scottsboro Boys is a stirring and provocative new work depicting one of the most memorable and notorious chapters in the history of race in America. Colin Quinn Long Story Short – Comically channeling the demise of great world empires, former Saturday Night Live and Comedy Central star Colin Quinn uses his “articulate brand of comedy” to take audiences through an uproarious history of the world.  From his personification of Caesar as the original Italian mobster to his complaints about Ancient Greece and Antigone giving way to Costco and Snooki, Quinn is at his satirical best, channeling the attitudes, appetites and bad habits that toppled the world’s most powerful nations. Directed by Jerry Seinfeld.

A Free Man of Color - A freewheeling epic set in 1802 New Orleans in which a new world Don Juan and the wealthiest inhabitant of this sexually charged and racially progressive city thinks all is well in his paradise until history intervenes, setting off a chain of events which no one realizes is about to splinter the world.

The Merchant of Venice - One of Shakespeare’s most thrilling and controversial plays, rich with love and betrayal, forgiveness and revenge. The Jewish moneylender Shylock makes a loan to Antonio, a Christian merchant. Their loan contract, centered on the play's infamous “pound of flesh,” sweeps the two men and everyone in their worlds into chaos.  Only the insightful Portia can imagine a way forward, but for her and those she loves, even "the quality of mercy" has its limits. Al Pacino reprises his acclaimed performance as Shylock from last summer’s Shakespeare in The Park production. Also starring Lily Rabe and Jesse L. Martin.

Rain - A Tribute to The Beatles on Broadway - This multimedia concert recaptures the era through all phases of The Beatles’ musical career including Shea Stadium, the psychedelic late ‘60s, and their long-haired, hard-rocking rooftop days.

Elf – The tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Buddy is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. Based on the film starring Will Ferrell. Starring George Wendt as Santa.

Elling - Set in the current day, this comedy is about a wildly mismatched pair of roommates trying to embrace life, love, friendship, pizza, poetry and women. Both Elling (Tony winner Denis O'Hare) and Kjell (Brendan Fraser) are patients in a mental hospital -- Elling suffering acute anxiety following his mother's death; Kjell a childlike 40-year-old eager to lose his virginity. The two become roommates and face the challenge of establishing a normal life when released from the institution. Also starring Jennifer Coolidge and Richard Easton.
