God of Carnage - Tony-winning playwright Yasmina Reza's "comedy without manners" features a new all-star cast: Jeff Daniels, Dylan Baker, Lucy Liu, and Janet McTeer. The play centers on the aftermath of a playground altercation.
Race - Playwright David Mamet directs the world premiere of his latest work centering around a law firm made up of three attorneys -- two black and one white --presented with the opportunity to defend a white man charged with a crime against a black young woman. The all-star cast features James Spader Richard Thomas, David Alan Grier, and Kerry Washington.
A Behanding in Spokane - In Irish playwright Martin McDonagh's first play to originate on Broadway, the title is just the starting point. Take a man searching for his missing hand, two con artists out to make a few hundred bucks, and an overly curious hotel clerk, and the rest is up for grabs. And for an added dose of the macabre, this hilarious black comedy stars Oscar winner Christopher Walken.
Fences - Two-time Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington and Tony winner Viola Davis star in the revival of August Wilson's 1987 Pulitzer- and Tony-winning drama about a sanitation worker who once dreamed of a baseball career, but was too old when the major leagues finally admitted black players.
Red - London's acclaimed Donmar Warehouse production has arrived on Broadway for a limited run. Set in 1958 as artist Mark Rothko (Alfred Molina) has received the commission to create a series of murals for The Four Seasons restaurant in the new Seagram building on Park Avenue. Under the watchful gaze of his young assistant, and the threatening presence of a new generation of artists, Rothko faces his greatest challenge yet: to create a definitive work for an extraordinary setting. A moving and compelling account of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, whose struggle to accept his growing riches and praise became his ultimate undoing.
