Captain Ferguson's School for Balloon Warfare - On the eve of the US involvement in World War I, Captain Thomas Ferguson must transform a ragtag assembly of hayseeds and dropouts into a battalion of agile, tactically minded reconnaissance balloonists. Unconcerned about the tactical limitations of his balloons, and believing that the new "airplane" created by his friends Orville and Wilbur is a passing fad, he pitches himself and his men against military convention, the German Army, and his superiors' orders.

Cymbeline - Shakespeare’s Cymbeline tells of a beautiful princess separated from her beloved, the stepmother who tries to kill her, a credulous husband duped by an adversary, an exiled nobleman who kidnaps a king's sons and a Roman invasion of Britain. In this lightning-paced production, transformations are magical and playful and true to the play, deepening its themes of illusion, deception and belief.

Harry & Eddie: The Birth of Israel - Eddie Jacobson, a Jewish salesman, and Harry Truman initially bonded during WWI when they were put in charge of a struggling army canteen. The success of that venture led to their joining forces after the war to open a haberdashery store in Kansas City, MO. When the depression hit and their store failed, Harry went into politics and Eddie went back on the road as a traveling salesman. In 1948, as the Zionists were struggling to convince President Truman to support the United Nation's recognition of Israel, Eddie was asked to push their unlikely friendship to the breaking point.

Latino Mixfest - A series of free readings in a play festival that mixes different artists who embrace Latino stories from varying perspectives.

En el tiempo de las mairposas - “In The Time of the Butterflies” is the story of the three courageous Mirabal sisters from the Dominican Republic who inspired resistance cells throughout the country against the dictatorial regime of Gen. Rafael Leónidas Trujillo. The ‘butterflies’, their secret code name, were brutally murdered by the regime in 1960. Based on Julia Álvarez’s popular novel, the martyred butterflies come to vibrant life in a warm, brilliant, and dramatic production by the talented duo – playwright Caridad Svich and director José Zayas -- that brought us the critically acclaimed production of Isabel Allende’s “The House of the Spirits” in 2009. Call or visit website for playing schedule. Presented in Spanish with live simultaneous English translation available.

Tricks the Devil Taught Me - Don and Betty have been married for 22 years, almost exactly as long as they have had their son, Jeremy. But there is whispering behind closed doors, and the once invisible imperfections begin to poison the air. Right and wrong are swept up in a whirlwind of lies, hope and haunting memories.
