Who Needs Winter Anyways? Openhouse Gallery's Park Here

Openhouse Gallery's Park HereDespite a practically snow-free winter, locals and tourists still find the winter season depressing. No need to despair, however: dust off those shorts and sunhats, because saying goodbye to summer friends like Central Park and the High Line is a thing of the past.

Openhouse Gallery, a pop-up art and events company, was fed up with winter too. For the second year in a row, they've brought summer back in a big way...indoors. Now an annual event, Park Here is the perfect solution to winter. A free space with lush, "realistic enough" AstroTurf, innumerable lounge spots courtesy of Fatboy and romantic foliage, birds, and benches make it the perfect escape. There's never a charge to drop in for as long as you like, and visitors are encouraged to sit on the "grass" and bring their own picnics. Park Here stays current by offering a variety of trendy food vendors like Lizzmonade, which you can sip on while relaxing to the in-house DJ. Opt to take a peaceful escape from our busy metropolis outside, or stay connected with wildly fast and very free WiFi.

Park Here draws a myriad of people, from mom groups with strollers to college students taking a new spin on a coffee break. Check Park Here’s online calendar for special events like afternoon tea, beer pong tournaments and trivia nights!

Openhouse knows everyone loves summer, so why should it have to end?
