On Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., clergy of all faiths are invited to attend an important half-day program that will help them better minister to the spiritual needs of members of their congregations who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Themed Creating Spiritual Connections: Ministering to Persons with Dementia, the Sixth Annual Interfaith Workshop for Chaplains and Other Clergy is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter and HealthCare Chaplaincy, a leader in the research, education, and practice of multifaith spiritual care and palliative care. With more than 500,000 people in New York City either diagnosed with dementia or taking care of someone with the disease, this workshop is an important resource for ministers of all faiths. The workshop will take place at the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter in Manhattan.
