Light the Night: The Annual iVolunteer Gala: The 2012 Annual iVolunteer Gala, this year, appropriately titled "Light the Night" as the gala takes place during Hanukkah and which celebrates this great tradition, will take place on Wednesday, December 5 at 7:30 PM at Angel Orensanz Foundation, Inc. at 172 Norfolk Street, New York, NY 10002. Silent Auction, DJ, Videos, Cocktails & More. The Angel Orensanz Center is a historical New York landmark and is also one of the oldest synagogues in the country, highlighting the survival of Jewish life that iVolunteer seeks to embody. iVolunteer is a visitation program that provides young New York volunteers with the opportunity to create bonds with elderly Holocaust survivors by visiting their homes to provide companionship and care. The Annual iVolunteer Gala 2012 is being held to celebrate the invaluable work of iVolunteer’s staff and volunteers. The money raised at this annual gala will fund the support and home visitation of Holocaust survivors throughout the country, and iVolunteer’s, which collects and shares footage of Holocaust survivors and their stories.
