Her installations create sensory experiences for her viewers. In Arts Brookfield's latest exhibition, It's Unreal!, Andea uses LED lights and various recycled plastic materials to provoke a dialogue about the interaction between people and new technologies. Of her "conversations in light," Andea says, "My work relies on human-made materials to create artificial environments that suggest 'beauty' assigned to the natural landscapes or environments. My installations insist on the visual transformation of inorganic into organic matter, and the blending of the organic with geometric." Curated by Sally Reynolds. ABOUT ADELA ANDEA Born in Romania in 1976, Adela Andea came to the United States in 1999. Her work was included in several exhibitions in California, Pennsylvania, New York and Texas.
