Juilliard alum and faculty member, and internationally-acclaimed violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman takes the podium to lead the Juilliard Orchestra in a program featuring Mozart's energetic overture to his opera Abduction from the Seraglio and Beethoven's heroic and revolutionary Piano Concerto No. 5, "Emperor." Berlioz's programmatic Symphonie Fantastique explores the artistic imagination, along with themes of debilitating despair and passionate affection to present an exhilarating finale
