An excellent introduction into the world of classical music and dance. This year Brighton Ballet Theater (BBT) is a participant of BAM Professional Development Program (PDP) and has been selected to present an original production of Tchaikovsky's "Children's Album" at the brand new BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) Fisher Theater

"Children's Album" is an original ballet choreographed by Brighton Ballet's renowned choreographer, Edouard Kouchnarev. This groundbreaking work is inspired by and is dedicated to orphaned and adopted children around the world. The first ballet to be staged to Tchaikovsky’s celebrated “Children’s Album,” which will be performed in its entirety, will offer a wonderful opportunity for the young and the old alike to explore the magic of classical music and dance.

The Children's Album is a collection of 24 musical pieces that Tchaikovsky wrote for his beloved nephew Volodia, when the boy was learning to play the piano. BBT is the first dance theater to stage Tchaikovsky music to a ballet, creating the perfect introduction for children into the world of classical ballet and music.
