Essayist and novelist Michelle Herman visits to talk about her new book, "Stories We Tell Ourselves" and the recently reissued "The Middle of Everything: Memoirs of Motherhood."

Enjoy a meet & greet with refreshments as Michelle reads from both books, followed by a talk and Q&A. The discussion will revolve around the discoveries of parenthood: the cost of trying to make motherhood a "do-over,"; the perils of "perfection" as a mother (even if you succeed); the way a child reveals herself to her parents and to herself, without intention; and the mysteries and wonders of the connections between children and their parents, grandparents and friends.
