New York City Opera marks British composer Benjamin Britten's centennial with a new production of his contemporary 1954 chamber opera, set in the early 1980s and directed by Sam Buntrock (Sunday in the Park with George, Broadway). Based on a ghost story by Henry James, The Turn of the Screw is described by Buntrock as a contemporary horror story in which "chilling events unravel a mysterious building's terrifying past, pushing the boundaries between sanity and the supernatural."
Venue Description: A multi-arts center located in Brooklyn, offering theater, dance, music, opera, film, and more from emerging artists and innovative modern masters.
