Artist and poet Tai Allen pays tribute to Oscar Brown, Jr., the utterly unique singer, songwriter, poet, playwright, and civil rights activist who for decades used his art to celebrate African-American culture and combat racism in his hometown of Chicago. Allen, backed by fellow artists from the vicelounge collective he co-founded, commemorates Brown's vibrant legacy with performances of his remarkable songs and poems.
