Brooklyn Public Library's 9th annual Summer Reading program kicks off Thursday, June 6, at Grand Army Plaza’s Central Library with a free, all-day family-friendly event, including a special appearance by the cast of the hit Broadway musical, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark. The cast of SPIDER-MAN will conduct a performance and a reading and take event-memento photos with kids in attendance. All day there will be guided activities by the Library’s top librarians along with face painting, balloon sculptures, musical performances and readings. In addition, families will have the opportunity to pick up summer reading materials including new library cards.
