The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Franz Welser-Most conclude their three-concert stay at Carnegie Hall with expansive, lush music by two composers closely associated with their native country. Frank Peter Zimmermann joins the orchestra for Berg's Violin Concerto, a moving tribute "to the memory of an angel," said Alma Mahler Werfel's daughter, who died shortly before the composer began the work. Also on the program is Bruckner's expansive "Romantic" Symphony.
