Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas leads the San Francisco Symphony in a two-night series of concerts. On Wednesday, the orchestra performs Mahler's Symphony No. 7 in E Minor, and the following evening, they are joined by violinist Gil Shaham for Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 in G Minor, Op. 63, and by the New York Choral Artists for Ravel's complete Daphnis et Chloe. Also on the second program is the New York premiere of Samuel Carl Adams's Drift and Providence.
