We now travel on subsonic airliners which take seven hours to cross the Atlantic, but from 1976 to 2003 it was possible to make the trip in half that time. This talk will touch on how Concorde came to be, the technological advances involved and the aviation records set by these aircraft.

Venue Description: The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is a non-profit, educational institution featuring the legendary aircraft carrier Intrepid, the space shuttle Enterprise, the world's fastest jets and a guided missile submarine.
