Explore Japanese woodblock printmaking techniques practiced by ukiyo-e masters in this four-part workshop series led by Yasuyuki Shibata, Master Printmaker at Pace Editions. Learn to sharpen and use carving tools, prepare and carve wood blocks, and hand print. The program begins with a guided discussion of Edo Pop: The Graphic Impact of Japanese Prints led by a Japan Society educator. Please email for pre-course instructions.
