Six years after their triumphant debut, Tero Saarinen and his company come back to The Joyce with inventive contemporary choreography, poetic movement language, and masterful use of music and visuals, all of which create a profoundly moving experience. Saarinen himself will mark the centenary of Igor Stravinsky's Rite of Spring with his widely praised signature solo HUNT, hailed as one of the most significant reinterpretations of this timeless work. The program also includes the US premiere of Scheme of Things, an emotionally charged, technically demanding group work exploring the complexities of human relationships.
Venue Description: An inexpensive dance theater located in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, inside the former Elgin 1940's movie house. Renowned companies such as Complexions, FOCUS DANCE, MOMIX, Parson, and many others make this their NYC stop.
