This season, Ronald K. Brown / Evidence will present a program that includes the New York premiere of The Subtle One, set to music by the extraordinary jazz pianist Jason Moran. Fusing the form and rhythms of African dance with contemporary choreography, the program features works depicting human struggle and triumph. Among these are Better Days, Brown's 1998 Bessie award winning work, and audience favorites Clear as Tear Water, Torch, High Life, and Ife/My Heart.

Venue Description: An inexpensive dance theater located in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, inside the former Elgin 1940's movie house. Renowned companies such as Complexions, FOCUS DANCE, MOMIX, Parson, and many others make this their NYC stop.
