Torchbearers for four decades, Tipica 73 operates where New York salsa meets Cuban charanga, a dance style that goes back to the island's social dances of the 1890s. Reassembling many of its veteran members, including Johnny "Dandy" Rodriguez, Sonny Bravo, Adalberto Santiago, Orestes Vilato and Nelson Gonzalez, alongside the new generation, these New York legends will switch from a horn-powered salsa conjunto to the violin and flute driven charanga set.

Venue Description: The world's leading performing arts center and home to the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Juilliard School, Lincoln Center Theater, the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, New York City Opera, New York Philharmonic, the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, and the School of American Ballet.
