This is the American premiere of the opera by Karlheinz Stockhausen in a production from the Wiener Taschenoper. A fabric of clarinets, trombones, violins, and percussion, marked by a trumpet concerto, directed by Carlus Padrissa. Michaels Reise um die Erde is the second act of his opera Donnerstag, part of his seven-opera cycle titled Licht. The musicians of Ensemble musikFabrik, provide the propulsive sonic background of this event.
