Lincoln Center's Hearst Plaza will be bursting with elegant movement thanks to eighty dancers led by Mark Dendy, whose choreography credits include everything from Mozart operas to Rockettes extravaganzas. Drawing on the ritual movements shaped by public spaces, Ritual Cyclical will make full use of Lincoln Center's architecture, including its fountain and grove. Dancers will present short, repeating loops to the music of Kronos Quartet, allowing viewers to move around and through them, and direct their own experience.
Venue Description: The world's leading performing arts center and home to the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Juilliard School, Lincoln Center Theater, the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, New York City Opera, New York Philharmonic, the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, and the School of American Ballet.
