Introducing 22-year-old Korean pianist Ji-Yong, First Prize Winner of the 2012 Young Concert Artists International Auditions. When he was only ten, Ji-Yong won the New York Philharmonic's Young Artists Competition - the youngest ever chosen - and performed under Maestro Kurt Masur, which led to many engagements in his teenage years. Ji-Yong's creative vision to make classical music more accessible to young people includes his "Stop & Listen" outdoor "guerrilla" performances in Seoul, and his Ensemble DITTO chamber recitals in Korea and Japan.

Venue Description: Located at Kaufman Music Center, Merkin Concert Hall hosts music and theatre events, including the series Broadway Close Up, and more. Its innovative programming, intimate scale and near perfect acoustics have earned it a reputation as one of New York City's finest concert venues.
