This upcoming Spring Gala marks a special milestone for New York City Ballet as they celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their Philip Johnson-designed home, the David H. Koch Theater (formerly the New York State Theater), and the Company's residency at Lincoln Center. This one-night-only gala performance will pay tribute to the Company's extraordinary history as we simultaneously celebrate our future with choreographic innovation and creativity. The program will include works from the Theater's opening night in 1964, an onstage salute to the dancers who were a part of that memorable performance, as well as a world premiere by choreographer and NYCB Soloist Justin Peck to a commissioned score by renowned American composer Sufjan Stevens.
