Free with Family Membership or daily admission. 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. Bring your video camera and prepare for posterity! Thanksgiving is about families and every family has stories. Bring your favorite family story to share and then record it to take home as a treasured memento. We'll set the stage and provide a historic background for your tales. A master storyteller will provide tips and cues to help you make a great presentation and share some stories about important families in history. You'll tour the DiMenna Children's History Museum to learn more about these folks and end your program in the Barbara K. Lipman Children's History Library to make your storytelling debut.

Venue Description: A trip to New York wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the New-York Historical Society with four centuries of history and art – plus the only Children’s History Museum in the area. It hits the spot for anyone craving an offbeat (and often surprising) bite of the city’s culture easily digested in an hour or two. Quirky, smart, immersive and across the street from beautiful Central Park, it offers a rich taste of the city.
