Generous support is provided by The Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation, David Solo, an anonymous donor, and contributors to the 2017 Exhibitions Fund. Peter Galassi was a curator of photography at The Museum of Modern Art from 1981 to 2011, the last twenty years as Chief Curator. At MoMA he organized more than 40 exhibitions, many accompanied by major catalogues. He is also the author of Corot in Italy (1991) and books on Philip-Lorca diCorcia and Richard Benson. His most recent projects include Robert Frank in America (Stanford University) and In the Studio: Photographs (Gagosian Gallery, New York). Fundación MAPFRE, Barcelona, will present Brassaï next February.
