Come hear the future of classical music.

On Saturday, April 20th, the Washington Square Winds woodwind quintet presents a program consisting entirely of music written by living composers, including Matt Frey, Charles Gerard, Derek Jenkins, Sonia Megías López, and Dean Rosenthal. A free reception will follow the performance, where those in attendance will have the rare chance to meet the composers themselves.

They’re Alive 2.0 is the 2nd performance in an innovative series aimed to commission and promote new chamber works. To this extent, the Washington Square Winds will use all funds raised at the performance to commission a new composition for woodwind quintet.

Please join us for this unique event, where we will celebrate our generation’s vital impact on the future of classical music.
